🌲 The Wood Wide Web: How Trees Whisper Beneath Our Feet

When you walk through a forest, you might first notice the crunch of leaves underfoot, the shafts of sunlight filtering through the canopy, or the rich scent of earth in the air. Yet beneath your feet lies another world, an unseen network as alive and dynamic as any city. In this hidden realm, trees are not solitary beings. They are linked together, sharing resources and exchanging signals in ways science is only beginning to uncover.  The Hidden Network Deep underground, forests are bound together by living threads of mycorrhizal fungi that connect the roots of trees and other plants into what scientists call a mycorrhizal network.
